Our social impact and product vision. We’ve built the largest social impact marketplace in SA, connecting social development needs to resources. We’ve facilitated over 27,000 connections between citizens, companies and NGOs – providing skills-based volunteers, goods and money donations to create impact. 

Our business vision. We provide a SaaS product that allows big corporates to create, scale and measure employee volunteering programmes, a critical piece of the employee engagement ecosystem. We work with 16 of the biggest corporates in SA, and have more than 23,000 employees registered.

We’re also proudly “for profit” – and believe in making money through purpose-driven business. Our dream is to reinvent the social impact space by helping corporates leverage their human capital to create change. 

We’re a small company of seven dedicated people who are all about close-collaboration, teamwork and constant communication. We make most decisions together – from long-term strategy to day-to-day implementation choices. Being part of a small team, we all have the opportunity to get involved in other areas of the business as well (great environment for personal and career growth).

Our team deploys our code anywhere from several times a week to several times a day. The tech stack and tools we use include: C#, .Net, Aurelia, Typescript, Azure, Postgresql, Cosmos DB, Mandrill, Visual Studio, VS Code & Git.

We don’t expect you to be an expert in all of these, or even to have used all of them before. What we do expect is that you’re ready to do your best, to learn our tools, codebase and way of working.

The development team is currently two people. The CTO is well-known in the local community as a conference and meetup speaker.
